This aircraft is a friendly puppy in the air, with smooth and well balanced pushrod activated ailerons and elevator. Its performance is similar to the original Cessna 172, but with smoother controls. No flaps, but easy to slip. It's quieter than a Cessna, and the roll down windows are great in the summer. Unruffled by turbulence.
It loves wheel landings on pavement; it rolls on so smoothly you'll wonder if you've actually touched down. It was built for grass and is great off-pavement. With its wide, wide gear, it is (now) an easy taildragger to master.
The aircraft had some bad habits on the ground when I bought it (grabby brakes and a shimmying, non-steering, free-pivoting tailwheel) but those squawks have been permanently resolved.
