While Warner 165 engines were produced in great numbers, the 145 which preceded it is considerably scarcer, and having spare cylinders, pistons, and accessories has been a great comfort to me. One cylinder was removed from the core, rebuilt, and is now on N2088. (The cylinder that came off N2088 will ship with the spares.) There seem to be all the pieces of a complete engine installation except for the removed cylinder as noted, and no ignition harness, spark plugs, or exhaust system.
This Warner Super Scarab 145 engine core was "removed in running condition" or so I was told. It came with logs? (-see left panel), and I've removed one cylinder and used it on N2088. The engine accessories that are listed were (presumably) once mounted on this engine. An invaluable source of spares -- or an overhaul core. Unfortunately, the engine data plate is on the down side of the engine, and since it weighs in at about 250 lbs, I couldn't flip it over to expose it for a picture or serial number.
